We are looking for a Level II Technical Support and Installation Specialist to join our team as a full-time employee.
Responsibilities:
- Providing technical assistance to international clientele by phone, electronic communications and remote connections
- Installation or remote assistance for installation of client-server and web technologies
- Testing and troubleshooting of issues reported by clients
- Tracking and follow-up of all reported issues
- Occasional travel for onsite installations or troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- Computer Science Degree/Diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of MSSQL 2000/2005 databases
- Strong knowledge of Oracle 9i/10g databases
- Experience with Windows
- Experience with Windows client-server and web applications
- Highly analytical and articulate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
- Ability and willingness to learn new technology quickly
- A proven team player with the ability to work under pressure
- Exceptional time management and ability to prioritize duties
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Any other related duties that may be assigned by management
Additional Assets:
- Experience in Quality Assurance/Testing or software development
- Ability to develop SQL scripts for Oracle or Microsoft SQL
- Knowledge of and ability to write VBA scripts for Microsoft Word or Excel
- Any additional foreign languages, particularly German
