MultiCorpora is a stable, profitable and expanding company with
over 30% growth this past year. It is now adding a new position to its client
support team: 2nd Level Technical Support and installation
specialist.
We are looking for a 2nd Level Technical Support and installation
specialist to join our team as a full-time employee in the Gatineau office.
Responsibilities:
- Providing
technical assistance to international clientele by phone, electronic
communications and remote connections
- Installation
or remote assistance for installation of client-server and web technologies
- Tracking
and follow-up of all reported issues in issues tracking system
- Troubleshoot
and reproduce client issues via remote desktop connections, building internal
testing environments
- Document
and escalate reproducible issues directly to products team.
- Work
closely with products team to validate fixes and workarounds in internal and
client environments
- Ensure
timely resolution of customer issues, and escalate to 3rd level
support if the case cannot be resolved in time
- Occasional
travel for onsite installations or troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills in both English and French, being bilingual
is a must
- Computer
Science Degree/Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent
knowledge of Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003 and Server 2008
- Strong
knowledge of MSSQL 2000/2005, Oracle 10g databases
- Experience
in supporting proprietary client-server and web applications in a Microsoft Windows
environment
- Highly
analytical and articulate
- Ability
and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
- Self-motivated
and able to work with minimal supervision
- A
proven team player with the ability to work under pressure
Additional Assets:
- Experience
in Quality Assurance/Testing or software development
- Ability
to develop SQL scripts for Oracle or Microsoft SQL
- Knowledge
of and ability to write VBA scripts for Microsoft Word or Excel
