MultiCorpora
is looking for a Software QA Specialist to join our team as an employee for an
8-month contract with possibilities of an extension. In this key position, you
will work closely with the software development team to test new software and
systems and will be responsible for doing component and systems testing
including set up and configuration of the test environment, document test procedures,
issues tracking, designing and building of automated test programs, test
scripts, and test harnesses.
Roles and Responsibilities

Taking part in the planning
and implementation of the testing/quality strategy for a special strategic
project

Performance and scalability
(stress) testing
-
UI, usability and
localization testing
-
Functionality and regression
testing
-
Documentation testing
including help, readme files, and product manuals
-
Identification,
investigation, reporting and tracking bugs to closure
-
Configuration of hardware and
software as required by test plans
-
Communication with software
development and technical support staff in providing additional assistance in
recreating issues
-
Working in a deadline driven
environment collaboratively with the rest of the team through every step of the
software development process
-
Providing progress reports on
all assigned tasks as requested
Qualifications
-
Understanding of testing
cycles, testing methodologies and testing processes
-
Experience with
troubleshooting product problems

Extensive experience with
client-server software and web applications configuration and deployment in
Windows environments

Experience working with
databases such as MS SQL and/or Oracle would be an asset

Excellent problem solving and
analytical skills needed

Excellent written and verbal
communication skills in English OR French is mandatory

Must be able to work within
tight deadlines and be adept at balancing shifting priorities and time
management

Strong ability to prioritize
work

University degree, or
equivalent post-secondary credentials in computer science or related fields
