  • MultiCorpora, celebrates 10 years as the language technology experts and kicks off a strong year that sees them executing on key corporate initiatives.
  • A technology and OEM agreement is signed with Systran to integrate machine translation functionality with the MultiTrans client-server application.
  • MultiCorpora extends its outreach efforts to recruit partners for its channel initiative.
  • MultiCorpora's European office moves to a larger and more suitable office space. 
    • To support the European market growth, some key employees relocate from North America headquarters to the European office.
  • MultiTrans officially supports over 7,000 Languages
  • Many companies, governments and multilaterals begin to release online versions of their MultiTrans terminology databases to the general public. 
  •  MultiTrans TermBase, is selected by the Office Québécois de la Langue Française, (OQLF), as the core module for the development of an online multilingual version of Le Grand Dictionnaire Terminologique.
  • MultiCorpora launches MultiTrans version 4.4.

2008

  •  MultiCorpora forms a strategic alliance by integrating MultiTrans with Translation Business and Workflow Management software. 
    • Ongoing partnership strategies with additional workflow solutions extend MultiCorpora's value proposition and further improve the quality and delivery of translation content.
  • MultiCorpora boasts over 200 customers worldwide and over 5,000 active, users - LSPpacks are launched, introducing affordable turnkey, packaged technology solutions available on a subscription basis.
  • MultiTrans now boasts the ability to align text at the individual term and expression level:
    • MultiCorpora's Advanced Leveraging Technology leads to a breakthrough in language technology with the launch of WordAlign.
  • MultiTrans is implemented at the Translation Bureau of Canada to support North America's largest number of simultaneous language specialist users.
  • MultiCorpora launches MultiTrans version 4.3. 

2007

  • Impressive Numbers fuel MultiCorpora's Growth Strategy:
    • Many translation agencies and well known international corporations and organizations choose MultiCorpora as their preferred multilingual asset management solutions provider.
  • MultiCorpora doubles its personnel and is in a perpetual hiring mode.
  • MultiCorpora continues to reinvest significantly in R&D and release MultiTrans 4.2
  • Significant interest from technology and sales partners is developed.
  • Daniel Gervais, MultiCorpora's Executive Vice President, wins AILIA Award for Outstanding Contribution in the field of Language Technology.

2006

  • MultiCorpora launches TextBase TM concept:
    • TextBase TM to be recognized later as an Advanced Leveraging TM that delivers significantly more benefits and savings than conventional translation memories.
  • MultiCorpora wins two significant contracts which lead to a doubling of users and a significant spike in sales.
  • MultiCorpora International is created and opens a European office while expanding its worldwide customer base.

2005

  • MultiCorpora introduces MultiTrans 4, unveiling its proprietary and industry-leading alignment technology:
    • This new version is designed to meet the needs of large organizations by providing the newest efficiencies for translators in the area of text alignment quality, ease of use, flexibility and web access.
    • Pierre Blais joins MultiCorpora as new CEO.
    • The newest MultiTrans 4 further increases productivity gains by another 20%.

2004

  • MultiTrans generates a quick ROI for customers, leading to aggressive growth:
    • MultiCorpora shareholders receive a quick return on investment and decide to expand in order to support a fast-growing international customer base.

2000-2003

  • MultiCorpora begins to commercialize MultiTrans 
  • MultiCorpora receives several distinguished awards including the Excelor Award for outstanding achievement in innovation and the R&D and the ClientSide Excellence Award for Translation Memory Tools.
  • UNESCO, Pfizer, HSBC, Osler, Fidelity, and Ford Canada adopt MultiTrans

2000

  • MultiTrans is launched:
    • Translation and terminology management teams in corporations and governments embraced the new technology.

1999

  • MultiCorpora is incorporated.

1994 - 1998

  • Extensive research & development initiatives are fueled by founder Mr. Gerry Gervais' vision:
    • Mr. Gervais believes that translation productivity can be improved with Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) technologies. Since available mainstream technology is inadequate, Mr. Gervais recognizes the need for a different approach to translation support, terminology and language management.
