MultiCorpora Launches LSP CommonIT Program

Gatineau, Québec, Canada, April 22, 2008

On the heels of recent industry consolidation, MultiCorpora has forged ahead with the launch of their newest initiative, LSP commonIT. The program is geared toward small to mid size language service providers (LSPs) who choose to concentrate on core competencies instead of technology and/or hardware. With six different packages to choose from, qualifying LSPs can now benefit from the same enterprise scale solutions that are successfully used in high volume environments. LSPs can choose from a basic translation memory package to the most complete package which includes, among other features, an advanced quality assurance module, full web functionality and a workflow and business management solution.

This new offering, which helps LSPs grow their business and attract new customers, has been specifically designed to deliver premier multilingual asset management solutions at an affordable price. MultiCorpora's LSP commonIT membership model reduces costs via the sharing of non-core assets by creating a "community" of small to mid size LSPs. The community benefits from a subscription pricing model that requires no initial investment and provides a flexible investment protection plan for contractual freedom.

Through exclusive incentives and benefits, the program also encourages MultiCorpora's numerous corporate clients to do business with the LSP CommonIT members. In this first phase, the shared assets could include resources such as, hardware, software licenses and professional services including training and data conversion. All LSP members benefit from an evergreen technology model which includes unlimited software upgrades and access to a pool of distributable licenses at no additional cost. This is not a complete inventory of benefits, however, as the value of MultiCorpora's LSP commonIT membership will continue to grow in phase 2 with additional value that include access to expert technical consultants and the ability for LSPs to trade multilingual content for reuse.

"We want to be viewed as facilitators, as enablers of business in a fairly competitive industry. MultiCorpora continues to plan its strategy with genuine dedication to the small to mid size LSPs," said Pierre Blais, President and CEO of MultiCorpora. "Our customers and the LSP industry as a whole have raised an awareness of the needs and challenges that affect them and we believe that MultiCorpora's LSP commonIT program delivers by helping to promote independence, strengthen their competitiveness and reduce costs. With MultiCorpora's LSP commonIT membership program, small and mid size LSPs can now compete in the same space as some of their larger competitors who own their technology and who have the means to support such a complete infrastructure."
