Quality Assurance Specialist

MultiCorpora is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team as a full-time employee working from the Gatineau or Montreal office.
Responsibilities:
- Taking part in the planning and implementation of the testing/quality strategy for new and existing projects
- Product installation and uninstallation testing (Client, Server and web applications)
- Performance and scalability (stress) testing Hardware and software compatibility testing
- UI, usability and localization testing
- Functionality and regression testing
- Documentation testing including help, readme files, and product manuals
- Identification, investigation, reporting and tracking bugs to closure
- Configuration of hardware and software as required by test plans
- Communication with software development and technical support staff in providing additional assistance in recreating issues
- Working in a deadline driven environment collaboratively with the rest of the team through every step of the software development process
- Providing progress reports on all assigned tasks as requested
Qualifications:
- Understanding of testing cycles, testing methodologies and testing processes
- Experience with troubleshooting product problems
- Extensive experience with client-server software and web applications configuration and deployment in Windows environments
- Experience working with databases such as MS SQL and/or Oracle would be an asset
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory, knowledge of additional languages such as French, German, Dutch, Arabic and Japanese are assets
- Must be able to work within tight deadlines and be adept at balancing shifting priorities and time management Strong ability to prioritize work
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- A talent for breaking software
- Self-directed, with a passion for delivering quality products to market
- University degree, or equivalent post-secondary credentials in computer science or related fields
- Software engineering certificate or degree an asset
- Experience with test automation would be an asset
