Technical Support Manager

MultiCorpora has offices in Gatineau, Montreal and Brussels.

MultiCorpora is looking for a Technical Support Manager to join our team as a full-time employee working from the Gatineau or Montreal office.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on supervision and management our support activity (team of 5 people in 3 different offices)
  • Perform sophisticated system installations and configurations through remote desktop connections or on-site visits
  • Troubleshoot and reproduce client issues via remote desktop connections, building internal testing environments
  • Participate in the management of our software hosting facilities in Europe, Montreal and Gatineau
  • Document and escalate reproducible issues directly to products team
  • Work closely with products team to validate fixes and workarounds in internal
  • Tracking and follow-up of all reported issues in issues tracking system
  • Ensure timely resolution of all customer issues
  • Providing technical assistance to international clientele by phone, electronic communications and remote connections
  • Occasional travel for onsite installations or troubleshooting

Qualifications:

  • Excellent decision making & judgement skills
  • Experience in managing technical support teams for proprietary software
  • Excellent decision making & judgement skills
  • Computer Science Degree/Diploma or equivalent
  • In-depth proprietary Software Installation, Troubleshooting & Technical Support experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows 7, Vista, XP, Windows Server 2003 and Server 2008 and Hyper-V virtualization
  • Knowledge of MSSQL 2005/2008 database configuration
  • Excellent knowledge of networking principles and the IP protocol
  • Highly analytical and articulate Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technology quickly
  • A proven team player with the ability to work under pressure
  • Exceptional time management and ability to prioritize duties
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Any other related duties that may be assigned by management
