MultiTrans Prism Flow Client Access

In our Business/Project Management section we explain some of the concepts behind our project management module, MultiTrans Prism Flow. In this section we look at some of the specific functions of Flow for a service provider's clients. Flow is structured as interlocked "portals': an internal portal where your project managers and business owners receive orders and track projects, among other activities; a client portal where customers can login to submit new projects and track ongoing work; and service providers portal where translators and editors can pick up job assignments and submit invoices, among other activities.

Highlights of the Client functions:

  • Place work orders or request and approve quotations directly from their secure portal page. Clients have one centralized place to enter requests. When your project managers or sales representatives estimate the scope of work the client is notified that the quotation is ready and they can go online to their portal and approve so that your team can begin the work.
  • Track their project status and history. Clients can track their own requests and you can assign rights to the client's manager to view requests by all employees within their company.
  • Provide project-specific instructions and reference materials. When making requests through the portal, clients can include project specific instructions and upload reference documents in addition to the documents uploaded for translation.
  • Upload documents of any size. Clients can attach files to an estimate request and upload over HTTP.
  • Download completed documents and search project history. The client portal also serves as file repository where clients can download files if they have misplaced them.
  • Receive updates on milestones through automated email notification. Project Managers have the option to enable automatic email notifications to the client at certain project milestones so that the client is notified on progress in real time, eliminating the need for the client to call or email asking for status reports.
