The MultiTrans Prism TermBase Web opens up your server TermBases to the web to facilitate external collaboration. No software is required to be installed on the user's computer – they simply require a web browser. The TermBase Web is ideal for those organizations who wish to promote consistent terminology usage among any and all writers, editors, revisers, translators, as well as clients. TermBase Web offers functionality similar to your internal TermBases, including feature rich search functions. In addition, TermBase Web installations can be customized to display your own logos and corporate colors and you can even create individual login interfaces for your clients customized for each client and its own URL.
The MultiTrans Prism TermBase Web Collaborator license is typically for organizations that require individuals to work on their terminology database from different locations. These read/write licenses are particularly useful for organizations with a widespread community of terminology contributors. They are also convenient for terminologists and those who manage the terminology workflow and who wish to work away from their regular office computer. These licenses allow you to use all the search capabilities of the TermBase Web, but also allow users to contribute, edit and revise terms directly through a web browser with no other software required.
The interface is easy to use offering users different options based on their level of access. For those with sufficient privileges that may include the ability to edit and approve/reject entries, add definitions or export TBX or XML format terminology files that can be opened in other terminology tools.
