You can import your translation memories and terminology database from your existing CAT tools into MultiTrans Prism. Translation memories can be imported into MultiTrans Prism TextBases from translation (bilingual) RTF files, TMX files and XLIFF files. Terminology can be imported into TermBases from TMX, TBX, and structured Text files.
MultiCorpora is focused on developing a tool platform that is flexible and which is interoperable with other tools. SDL Trados is one of the most popular translation tools. MultiTrans Prism is able to work with projects in SDL Trados 2007 and SDL Trados Studio 2009. MultiTrans Prism you can import jobs in SDL Trados TagEditor format (TTX ), SDL Trados Translator's Workbench's bilingual RTF format, or SDL Trados 2009 SDLXLIFF format files.
MultiCorpora has been one of the acknowledged leaders in this field. MultiTrans Prism has well documented APIs that allow the integration of external Machine Translation systems. This automates a process where a document can be compared against your translation memory and any full or fuzzy segments populated from there. For any text falling below the minimum fuzzy value, it will pull in machine translations for that content. Superior results are achieved by training the machine translation with your TextBases to ensure correct terminology is used.
Yes MultiTrans Prism is different. What traditional translation memory tools generally failed to mention is that the amount of labor needed to use their tools counterbalanced any savings. This hidden cost to using traditional TM tools means organizations had to do a cost-benefit analysis on which accounts or projects they could afford to use the tools. With our Advanced Leveraging Technology you will find most of the time-consuming and costly manual aspects of translation memory and terminology building have been automated. Moreover with subsegment matches you also gain even more leverage from your multilingual assets.
Examples of how MultiTrans Prism differs from conventional TM tools:
Our integrated MultiTrans Prism is designed to automate the complete life cycle of translation projects by incorporating project management, translation memory and terminology management technology into one platform. Eliminate repetitive tasks by leveraging data more efficiently and automating the communications chain between your clients, project management staff and service providers.
