MultiCorpora acquires Beetext
Purchase of Beetext will bolster MultiCorpora's presence in the Translation Management System space
Gatineau, Quebec - August 31, 2010 - MultiCorpora, a Gatineau based language technology firm, continues its expansion by acquiring Beetext, one of the leaders in translation project management technology. The transaction is part of MultiCorpora's strategy to offer a Global Management Solution to the enterprise market. The acquisition bolsters MultiCorpora's presence in the Translation Management System (TMS) space in which MultiCorpora has a strong presence with over 200 customers worldwide. "Due to an increased demand in customized workflow and a need for more sophisticated functionality, we researched available options and ended up looking at the functionalities of Beetext's workflow and project management solution. The new solution has the flexibility, the scalability and the functionality depth we need to respond to the requirements of clients that vary in magnitude", says Pierre Blais, MultiCorpora's President and CEO. Since 2001, Beetext's technology was developed from lessons learned by implementing over one hundred customers from several domains such as governments, corporate legal, finance, retail and language service providers.
Beetext founder, Benoît Desjardins, and all Beetext employees will be joining MultiCorpora in their new Montreal branch as part of the sales, services and software development operations. Beetext customers will benefit from an influx of resources and from the resulting synergies of the larger organization. The transition will be transparent to Beetext's customers and they will be added to MultiCorpora's international support operations and processes. For the most part, it should be business as usual under MultiCorpora's umbrella but a much wider array of choices will be provided for customers who were seeking a complete end-to-end TMS or GMS solution.
