It can also connect to external sources such as machine translation engines. Machine Translation Interface
The Machine Translation Interface is designed to integrate third-party Machine Translation systems such as Systran, and ProMT into the MultiTrans Prism translation process.
Once connected to a machine translation system, this functionality becomes ingrained into the translation process. This is an optional process you can turn off and on. So projects with document types that are well suited to machine translation processing can benefit, while other projects with ill-suited documents can ignore. Retrieval from machine translation engines can be turned on or off based on a simple selection.
The results from the machine translation engine become part of the standard matches returned to the translator. Machine translation matches are naturally categorized as less reliable than previously approved matches from the translation memory, so the translation memory matches will be displayed first, or in the case of pre-translation, replacements will first be selected from the translation memory (based on match criteria) and replacements from the machine translation engine will only be used for those without TM matches.
As terminology in some domains can be highly specialized, MultiCorpora has built the machine translation interface with the capability to send terminology directly to the machine translation engine while retrieving matches, so the proper terminology can be enforced even when using machine translation.

FilterPack
The FilterPack is an add-on module which allows users to add over 500 file types to their server TextBases. Based on Oracle's Outside In Technology, FilterPack gives access to the content of over 500 unstructured file formats. From the latest office suites, such as Microsoft Office 2007, to specialty formats and legacy files. FilterPack extracts text and metadata from native files (including Microsoft Office and PDF documents) and automatically converts the text and properties from multiple possible encodings into a single encoding. In this section we look at some of the specific functions of Flow for Service Providers. Flow is structured as interlocked "portals': an internal portal where your project managers and business owners receive orders and track projects, among other activities; a client portal where customers can login to submit new projects and track ongoing work; and service providers portal where translators and editors can pick up job assignments and submit invoices, among other activities.
Highlights of the Provider functions:
- Accept tasks and find all of the related files and project instructions in a single location. Single point of information and document retrieval for everything related to an assignment.
- Upload completed documents and automatically update the status of tasks. Once an assignment is complete the service provider can upload the completed documents via their portal.
- Get a feel for their upcoming workloads when tasks have been assigned but are not ready for action. Providers can get an preview of work in their "pipeline" and schedule their time accordingly. Helps to eliminate the logjams of emergency requests.
- Bid on jobs using MultiTrans Prism Flow unique provider pooling feature. Project managers can notify providers of an available job and providers can bid to claim the work.

In this section we look at some of the specific functions of Flow for a service provider's clients. Flow is structured as interlocked "portals': an internal portal where your project managers and business owners receive orders and track projects, among other activities; a client portal where customers can login to submit new projects and track ongoing work; and service providers portal where translators and editors can pick up job assignments and submit invoices, among other activities.
Highlights of the Client functions:
- Place work orders or request and approve quotations directly from their secure portal page. Clients have one centralized place to enter requests. When your project managers or sales representatives estimate the scope of work the client is notified that the quotation is ready and they can go online to their portal and approve so that your team can begin the work.
- Track their project status and history. Clients can track their own requests and you can assign rights to the client's manager to view requests by all employees within their company.
- Provide project-specific instructions and reference materials. When making requests through the portal, clients can include project specific instructions and upload reference documents in addition to the documents uploaded for translation.
- Upload documents of any size. Clients can attach files to an estimate request and upload over HTTP.
- Download completed documents and search project history. The client portal also serves as file repository where clients can download files if they have misplaced them.
- Receive updates on milestones through automated email notification. Project Managers have the option to enable automatic email notifications to the client at certain project milestones so that the client is notified on progress in real time, eliminating the need for the client to call or email asking for status reports.

MultiTrans Prism External Translator
The MultiTrans Prism External Translator license is similar to the MultiTrans Prism Translator license, but with fewer rights. See the description of the MultiTrans Prism Translator license for general functionality.
The MultiTrans Prism External Translator license provides access to the essential functionalities for translators working remotely to work locally or to connect to a client's server to access TextBases and TermBases. The MultiTrans Prism External Translator license does not allow users to export or save TermBases, TextBase TMs or Propagation Memories locally. Similar to the MultiTrans Prism Translator (Concurrent) licenses, except it gives content owners more control of intellectual property. Translators can connect to your multilingual resources externally and use them fully to translate or revise directly in Microsoft Word, Corel WordPerfect or Microsoft PowerPoint. With this license, users have access to the wide variety of search features in the TermBase (the terminology module), including the ability to contribute and revise terminology. All the search features of the TextBase TM are also available, and users can view the unilingual terminology extraction. The full range of translation and revision capabilities in Microsoft Word, Corel WordPerfect and Microsoft PowerPoint are available, including access to the Propagation Memory or Team Server, allowing instant re-use of translated segments. It also gives you the ability to use the fully interactive Translation Agent within Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and WordPerfect. The Translation Agent enables users to interactively or automatically replace paragraphs, segments (exact & fuzzy matches), sub-segments and terms while they work with their preferred editor. Further Advanced Leveraging TM (ALTM) technology provides sub segment matching, auto-alignment, and the context for all matches found.

XLIFF Editor
The XLIFF Editor is an interface for translating and editing documents in a wide range of formats. XLIFF is an exchangeable standard file format that separates document formatting from the content and creates a bilingual source/target file, making it more user friendly for translating. It features an easy-to-learn and easy-to-use, uncluttered editing environment with side-by-side source and target texts and a preview function for many file formats.
The XLIFF Editor serves as either a stand-alone translation editing environment or as a front-end to the MultiTrans centralized TextBase TMs and TermBases. It can also connect to external sources such as machine translation engines. The XLIFF Editor works seamlessly on XLIFF files and on a wide range of XML-based, tagged file formats such as documents created by Office 2007 or 2010, FrameMaker, InDesign, XML, HTML, etc.
Tags - Tags store software commands, most often metadata or formatting commands. They appear as text within the "<" and ">" characters. When a tagged source file is imported into the XLIFF Editor, the tags are separated from the translatable content, leaving only the content exposed to the translator for the editing process. Work-in progress files are stored in industry-standard XLIFF format. When the translation is finished, the tags are reinserted into the target language file as it is exported back to the source file format, accurately recreating the original document structure.
Placeables - terms that do not get translated between source and target text, such as company or product names, or ones that have fixed or predictable translations, such as the names of countries or months. If a placeables TermBase has no translation for a given term, the source term will remain unchanged; if it does have a translation in the target language, then this translation will automatically appear. Placeables can be set not to affect the match levels since they can be replaced automatically. Segments with only differences in placeables will then not appear as fuzzy matches.
XLIFF - aan acronym for XML localization Interchange File Format. It is an XML-based format created to standardize localization. An XLIFF document is composed of one or more files. Each file consists of a source file and the corresponding translation for one language. Translatable content is stored in elements. The element holds a element to store the source text, and a element to store the translated text. The non-translatable content, such as document formatting information and metadata, is separated out as tags.
XML Files - Built into the XLIFF Editor is a simple yet sophisticated Mapping Editor that can be used to define and isolate translatable content from surrounding XML code. Use the Mapping Editor to identify elements or attributes that should be translated. Define internal, external, and ignore tags.
TMX - the "Translation Memory eXchange" file format, an industry standard for exchanging translation memory files. The XLIFF Editor supports TMX and TTX files (SDL Trados legacy tagged format file) out-of-the-box with a built-in mapping feature.
How Will XLIFF Editor Help Me?
Easy to use:
The side-by-side display of source and target text makes translating in the XLIFF Editor intuitive. Positioning of the various editing windows (windows for source and target segments as well as the TextBase TM, TermBase, and Editing Window) is highly flexible and easily configurable with a few mouse clicks. The menu area ribbon can be minimized to create even more editing and viewing space on your screen. Do you prefer to use the editing environment in your own language? Just switch the UI language with a few mouse clicks to English, French, or German.
Integrate directly into MultiTrans Prism:
Although the XLIFF Editor can be used as a stand-alone editing environment for pretranslated files, it becomes even more powerful when connected to MultiTrans Prism's TextBase TMs and TermBases. This provides you all of the advantages of Advanced Leveraging Translation Memory and its granular sub-segment matching. If you are venturing outside your own TM, use MultiTrans to access machine translation engines or to insert pretranslated segments or sentences right into your editing interface to gain a head-start in your translation creativity. Want to pre-translate your file from existing TM or external sources in an automated or semi-interactive mode? Just switch the Translation Agent on and let it go! Did you create a new term while you were translating? Send it right back to the TermBase on-the-fly.
Translation in context:
When connected to MultiTrans Prism's TextBase TMs and TermBases, the XLIFF Editor allows you to view segments in context in two ways: with a simple click on the Translation Agent's "Context" button, you can quickly see the TextBase TM and TermBase origins of any segment that you are working on. As well, with certain file types, you can easily view the source and target files rendered in their original layout either on their own or side-by-side for comparison! Need a spell-checker? It's built in! Want a word or character count? It's built in, too!

Tagged file formats from many industry-standard products are supported out of the box by the XLIFF Editor. These include DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, HTML, XHTML, XML for the Web, MIF for FrameMaker, INX for InDesign, RESX for .NET user interface files, DITA and, of course, XLIFF itself. XLIFF flexibility:
The XLIFF Editor stores your work-in-progress files in the industry-standard XLIFF file format. Want to exchange files with other editors? XLIFF files can be easily loaded into other editing environments that support the standard. This provides you with maximum interchange flexibility.
Integrated Quality Assurance features:
XLIFF Editor has powerful QA tools built in to help you translate more accurately. Check that Terminology follows your accepted terms in your TermBases. Check for missing numbers, parentheses and translations. XLIFF Editor automatically checks the well-formedness and validity of marked-up documents (HTML and XML) and all other document formats supported in the MultiTrans XLIFF Editor. There are a number of QA checks (Live Validation, a Validation Report and a filter) centered on ensuring the proper tags are re-placed in the target segment. When a user exports the target document back to the original format following translation, verification for well-formedness and validity is automatically performed, and any missing tags that would prevent the target document from re-opening are replaced within the document in a non-obtrusive manner
Preserve the original file format:
When you are finished with your translation work, the output generated by the XLIFF Editor is written back to the original file format, transferring the source document structure to your final target language version. DOCX becomes DOCX, INX becomes INX, and so on.

XLIFF Editor QA Features
- Ability to validate terminology usage, directly comparing source sentence, target sentence and approved filtered terminology lists from the TermBase and flagging any sentence where one of the approved translations is not found in the target sentence. This includes matching with lemmatization so that conjugated terms may also be found. This also includes flagging when multiple target terms are available, so that the reviewer can quickly validate that the right translation is used for the right context.
- Ability to validate that all placeables have been replaced consistently, and ability to filter-out the sentences that were built with placeables in order to ensure that a human can validate that they were replaced properly (beyond the automated validation).
- Ability to improve the detection of filter on mistakes in the in-line markup language. The software performs DTD validation, skeleton mark-up language validation and detection of missing tags between the source and the target.
- Ability to validate punctuation in the target segment according to target locale (validated against equivalents to source locale punctuation).
- Ability to identify if there are extra spaces in the target segment.
- Ability to identify language-specific forbidden characters according to a mapping table compared to what their valid character replacements would be. This feature also enables automatic replacement of forbidden characters with their valid replacements.
- The "non translated segments" filter identifies translation units with identical source and target segments.
- User-friendly spelling and grammar checking. The XLIFF Editor has a user friendly spellchecker and grammar checker with the ability to treat most common European Union and Asian languages.
- Ability to flag inconsistencies as part of the filters and quality assurance checks. This functionality allows a translator or reviser to view and correct identical source segments with varying translations.
How XLIFF Editor works
You import your file into XLIFF Editor where the content appears in side by side columns displaying source and target. When you are connected to a MultiTrans Prism TextBase and TermBase it will show you matching segments:
Terminology checks are generally done during the translation itself. When retrieving segment matches from the TextBase TM, the MultiTrans Translation Agent will check any open TermBases at the same time and signal the translator that the corresponding segment may have issues with the terminology. Terms are flagged if they exist in the source segment, but the appropriate translation is not found in the target segment.
Tagged data for individual words show as contracted flags so you can position as needed. In case the tags will need to be re-positioned manually in the target text.

What does MultiTrans Prism TextBase TM + ALTM do?
A TextBase has five primary functions: taking your past translations and aligning them into translation memories; correcting or modifying the alignment of segmented text; searching the translation memory as a concordance; analyzing and pretranslating working documents; and using the translation memory interactively during the translation process.
1. Create Translation Memories
MultiTrans Prism TextBase TM + ALTM makes it easy to create translation memories through its automated Alignment Agent. In addition, translation memories can be created by importing industry standard TMX files from other translation memory tools and by importing bilingual segmented files such as XLIFF and Translation RTF (also known as "unclean" files). MultiTrans Prism TextBase has several unique features:
- You can create translation memories with multiple language pairs (not just two) including cross language pair memories. This means that you can create a TM with an English source and a French and German translation (target) and at the same time align the French and German files to create a French<>German TM.
- The alignment process happens directly in the translation memory. During the TextBase Builder process the uploaded files go directly into the TM - you do not need to align them and then export into a TM.
- All TMs are naturally bi-directional. This means that an English source file and a French target file will give you both an English>French but also a French>English TM. These are actually both the same TM and can be "flipped" by changing the language direction on the TM menu.
- Translation memories can be built with any combination of supported file types. You can direct TextBase Builder to upload files of multiple types to go into a TM. For example, if you have Microsoft Word and PDF files you can upload them both at the same time and both type of files will be included in the TM.
- The Alignment Agent is automatic and fast. With MultiTrans, most TMs are created in just a few minutes with astounding accuracy. Most alignments are upwards of 95% accurate, meaning that the segments have been aligned between source and target correctly around 95% of time.
- The List Builder function can be used to automate the uploading of a large number of files. Just point it at the source and target file folders and define file naming conventions (i.e. file language designations) and it will automate the pairing of all the files.
- MultiTrans Prism is fully Unicode compliant so all Unicode encoded character sets/scripts can be uploaded without corruption.
2. Modify segment alignments
Since the Alignment Agent creates your translation memory directly in the TextBase TM, alignment functions to change or modify segments always remain available. In the TextBase TM, alignment is not a one-time process but something that can change throughout the life-cycle of the TM. Although the automated alignment agent is highly accurate, users have the option of modifying these by expanding or shrinking the source or target segments to accommodate multiple segments to one correspondence.
Confirmed Alignments – This built-in feature significantly helps shorten the revision process. Documents that are revised or approved and the alignments verified upon indexing into the MultiTrans TextBase TM can be given top priority for Translation Agent replacements. These alignments can be rapidly identified by translators or revisers, allowing them to focus on segments that may require more attention. Users can also choose to automatically replace only these confirmed segments.
The MultiTrans Prism Expert license includes the ability to set Penalties and Bonuses for certain types of translation units. A number of these penalties are pre-defined, with only the penalty amount to be determined by the user. These pre-defined penalties are for unconfirmed alignments, reverse translations, indirect translations, formatting differences, and segments with placeables. A pre-defined bonus for In-context matches is provided.
MultiTrans Prism TextBase TMs allow users to store formatting information and metadata on the TM, document and segment levels. Since MultiTrans conforms to TMX 1.4b level 2, formatting information is automatically kept when importing from TMX files containing inline formatting. Formatting is also retained when adding other source documents to a TextBase TM, and is displayed within the TextBase TM itself, as well as transferred to the target document during translation. MultiTrans Prism allows metadata in the form of system, pick-list and text fields (among others) to be defined when creating translation memories.
MultiTrans operates on SRX (Segmentation Rules eXchange) 2.0 standard, and allows customization of segmentation rules. Segmentation rules are often a major limiting factor for system interoperability and the ability to exchange data. MultiTrans Prism's SRX based operations not only ensures that data can be imported and exported to and from other systems preserving the same segmentation rules, but also ensures that the matching of segments from the MultiTrans Analysis and Pre-translation will also follow the same rules.
3. Search the translation memory as a reference database
Since texts are stored in a TextBase TM as a whole document corpus, it is ideal to use as a searchable reference database. MultiTrans Prism offers sophisticated search options to retrieve text strings of any length, such as terms, sub-segments, full and fuzzy segments and paragraphs. The concordance searches not only return the translation results of all occurrences but users can also easily see where in the documents each occurrence originates. The context of each individual occurrence is available along with all relevant metadata.
4. Analyze and Pretranslate documents
MultiTrans Prism also has features for the Analysis and Pre-translation of documents. Users can select one or more documents to analyze against the TextBase and/or TermBase. The Analysis Agent gives highly detailed statistics on the results including 100% matches, fuzzy matches, new text and internal repetitions for each document analyzed as well as total. It also provides information on the paragraph and sub-segment matches and matches against the TermBase.
Once the analysis is complete, you can pretranslate your document either through MS Word, MS PowerPoint, other editors or using the XLIFF Editor. The Translation Agent will then launch and insert the full and partial matches along with any TermBase matches. How the Translation Agent inserts text is fully configurable, including how to weight penalties and bonuses.
5. Use the translation memory interactively
Use the translation memory interactively
TextBase TM can also be used interactively with working documents with the Translation Agent. The Translation Agent can be used with Microsoft Word documents directly or through the XLIFF Editor for complex formats. The Translation Agent connects to your TextBase (and TermBase) and pulls in matches from the translation memory and displays them side-by-side. For fuzzy matches the Translation Agent lets the translator edit the existing text to update the language to make it a full match to the source.

TermBase Terminology Management
A TermBase serves as a centralized repository of all terms, either single words, compound expressions or even whole phrases/sentences. This repository allows you to store the term and add identifying data in definable fields, such as example context sentence, status of the term, and appropriate use directions etc.
Main Features of MultiTrans Prism Terminology Module:

With TermBase Stemmed Search in the Translation Agent, a complex stemming algorithm will not only find the terminology available in TermBases, but will find variants of terminology as well. Example: if you have "engineer" in your TermBase, the Translation Agent will show you the translations for "engineer" when it encounters a segment containing "engineering" or "engineered", etc.
Components and Add-ons
The Translation Generator allows organizations to rapidly unlock and extract multilingual terminology from previously translated documentation. It uses sophisticated algorithms to extract terminology from your TextBase Translation Memories and to identify and retrieve the corresponding translations. in one or multiple languages. The system then displays a list of possible translations per expression for your validation. This unique approach enables you to quickly leverage the information contained in your TextBase TM into large and specialized terminology databases.
The robust Terminology Extractor feature generates a list of expressions of two (or more) consecutive words that occur more than once in your TextBase. You can view this "Expression List" when using the TextBase Search process (Terminology tab, Expression List sub-tab).
MultiTrans Prism Analysis Agent is a comprehensive project analysis and reporting tool that optimizes workflow decisions. Each analysis reports the size of the document, and the degree to which terminology and text segments already exist in exact or similar form in your TextBase TMs and TermBases (your language assets). The analysis report identifies the best reference sources by filename and extracts lists of terms that are candidates for standardization and translation at the beginning of the project.
The analysis report provides comprehensive statistics that go beyond conventional tools, providing you with in-depth information on the number of exact and fuzzy matches that are found in the TextBase TM. This can then be used to pre-translate a document to be sent to a translator.
The Team Module is a server component that allows for full and fuzzy sentence propagation across several users of the Translation Agent over a server configuration. MultiTrans Prism's Team module enables sharing propagation memories (saved on the server) in real time which means that translated segments can be made immediately available to every party working on a project thereby improving the consistency and efficiency of the entire translation supply chain. The Team Module records, in real-time, every sentence translated through the Translation Agent. As each sentence is translated, the Translation Agent queries the Team Module and the TextBase TM server at the same time. Since the newly translated sentence becomes immediately available for recycling, team members need not wait until the TextBase TM is updated before they are able to reuse segments. The Team Module also reduces project timelines significantly as it facilitates real-time revision of the propagation memory segments. With this module, revisers can begin reviewing while the documents are still being translated.
WordAlign facilitates the alignment of text at the individual term and expression level. It is MultiTrans' Advanced Leveraging Technology that makes this possible. Server Deployment

MultiTrans Prism is an n-tier, Web-based environment that allows several users (authors, revisers, editors, in-house translators, language service providers or freelance translators) to search, share, view and update central TextBase TMs and TermBases in real-time over a network or the Internet concurrently.

Desktop Deployment
The MultiTrans Prism desktop installation allows users to work locally, storing their TextBases and TermBases on their own machines. For your external vendors, such as freelance translators or remote employees this is a very cost effective and attractive solution for them.
The MultiTrans Prism desktop installation is split into two distinct categories: expert users and translator/freelance users. The major difference between the two categories is that an Expert user has the ability to connect to an organization's MultiTrans Prism Server via a domain to perform their translation work whereas a Freelance user can only connect to their local TextBases and TermBases. As a result, the expert license is a very popular license type for employees who work remotely.
It is important to note that working locally has its limitations, so users should carefully evaluate if the MultiTrans Prism Server environment is better suited to their needs.

Deployment Options
MultiCorpora offers a number of different deployment configurations for MultiTrans Prism.
Deployment Options:
- Desktop: Individual users can install MultiTrans Prism TextBase and TermBase on their own computer.
- Client Server: Customers can host MultiTrans Prism on their own in-house servers. For full technical specs please contact us.
- Hosted Server: Customers who wish to limit in-house IT involvement may opt for a hosted solution on one of our secure servers.
- Web-based SaaS: eMultiTrans allows customers to have their MultiTrans Prism functionality accessible via the web. This is available as an add-on and enables remote user's satellite offices and even the public (optional) to access their TextBases and TermBases via the Internet with ease.
Collaboration Options
Only 10% of all organizations handle their translation needs solely with internal resources; all others use some form of external collaboration. No matter if you outsource all of your work or just the occasional overflow work, MultiCorpora has developed solutions to facilitate external collaboration. MultiTrans Prism offers six ways for organizations to leverage their translation management system functionality to work with external parties.
These solutions are not just limited to collaboration with third-parties but can also be used to enable your organization to allow tele-working so that your employees can also work outside the office on the same real-time, centralized platform through HTTP or HTTPS.
With proper licensing rights, there are various ways that external parties can achieve the ability collaborate - either with desktop (stand-alone) licenses, or a client server model.
Methods of collaboration for working with contracted vendors include:
- Off-line using a stand-alone version. In this scenario, the external translators would receive the translation package from you which would include an extract of the translation memory, an extract from the terminology database, a list of the terms to be standardized and the pre-treated document (in bilingual RTF, XLIFF, or directly in the source format). Your external translators would then be able to use this translation package with MultiTrans, or a competitive translation tool.
- On-line Web using a translation package with web access to TMs and Terminology. If you have a web server configuration the external translator will be able to access the translation matches and terminology through the web interface. This is particularly effective when used in conjunction with our Fetch From Web add-on which would allow you to automatically mark up a MS Word document or an XLIFF Editor file with links to the TM and TermBase matches.
- Server/Client solution - This scenario is similar to option 1 but with the added advantage that the external translator is able to access the centralized Translation Memory and Terminology Database. This enables external translations with a direct, real-time, self-serve access to your TextBase TM and TermBase from a web application.
- On-line Web, Client application: WIth a Freelance license, owned by the translator, he/she can make a secure connection to your server TextBase and TermBase for interactive translation. It enables external translators who have bought the Freelance version of MultiTrans to access your live TextBase TM, and Terminology Database. It also allows you to stretch the benefits of collaboration even further through the Team Module.
- On-line Web, Floating application: A Client license, owned by you, can be provided temporarily to the external translator to work interactively on your server. This scenario is similar to scenario 3, with the only difference being that the external translators do not own the license. Rather, it is owned and loaned by you for the duration of the project, providing all translators the ability to work from the live TextBase TM, use the Team Module and your terminology assets.
- Third-Party Interoperable licenses. MultiTrans Prism also offers the flexibility to use other translation tools for off-line translations. This can be achieved in a variety of manners and formats, using industry standards such as TMX, TBX , XLIFF and SRX, and as mentioned above, even the generation of other tool-specific formats such as unclean Word documents. This flexible system architecture can allow you to implement new business processes in your operations which facilitate tighter collaboration between groups of internal translators, between groups of internal and external translators, or between external translators which in turn delivers higher productivity, shortens turnaround times and increases translation quality and terminology harmonization though live collaboration.

MultiTrans Prism Entry Level Server
The MultiTrans Prism Entry Level Server is identical to our MultiTrans Prism Enterprise Server but runs on a 32-bit version of the software rather than 64-bit. The 32-bit version can still be installed on a 64 bit server. For high volume of data and users the 64-bit version is recommended otherwise you can select this option and we would be happy to accommodate with proportional savings.
MultiTrans Prism Expert
The MultiTrans Prism Expert is a full-featured license option for users who need the full power of MultiTrans. MultiTrans Prism Expert license is intended for project managers and administrators who will need to create TextBases and TermBases.
MultiTrans Prism Translator
The MultiTrans Prism Translator license provides access to the essential functionalities for a translator to work locally or over a server to access TextBases and TermBases created by others. The MultiTrans Prism Translator license is similar to the MultiTrans Prism Expert license, but with fewer rights.
MultiTrans Prism Freelance
The MultiTrans Prism Freelance license provides access to the essential functionalities for translators working remotely to work locally or to connect to a client's server to access TextBases and TermBases. The MultiTrans Prism Freelance license is similar to the MultiTrans Prism Expert license, but with fewer rights. This license cannot be installed on a domain and is intended to be used by freelancers only.
MultiTrans Prism External Translator
The MultiTrans Prism External Translator license provides access to the essential functionalities for translators working remotely to work locally or to connect to a client's server to access TextBases and TermBases. The MultiTrans Prism External Translator license is similar to the MultiTrans Prism Translator license.
XLIFF Editor
The XLIFF Editor is a stand-alone application for editing tagged format files such as MS Office 2007 & 2010, HTML, XML, Adobe® InDesign®, and XLIFF files produced by other tools. By separating the translatable text from formatting commands (preserved as tagged information) and presenting it in a two column source/target format, the XLIFF Editor makes translating complex formats easy. Comes free with MultiTrans Prism Expert license, MultiTrans Prism Freelance license and MultiTrans Prism External Translator license.
MultiTrans Prism Web Server
With the MultiTrans Prism Web Server component, you can grant access to TextBase TM Web or TermBase Web functionality. This allows you to open up your linguistic assets to authors, revisers, external language service providers (LSPs) and freelancers anywhere in the world.
MultiTrans Prism TextBase TM Web Viewer
This license allows an individual to view TextBases through MultiTrans Prism TextBase TM Web. MultiTrans Prism TextBase TM Web opens up your sever TextBases to the web and facilitates external collaboration. TextBase TM Web is specifically designed to allow individuals who do not have MultiTrans software installed on their computers to search through previous translations via a web interface.
MultiTrans Prism TermBase Web Viewer
This license allows an individual to view TermBases through MultiTrans Prism TermBase Web. Open up your sever TermBases to the web to facilitate external collaboration. No software is required to be installed on the user's computer – they simply require a web browser. The TermBase Web is ideal for those organizations who wish to promote consistent terminology usage among any and all writers, editors, revisers, translators, as well as clients.
MultiTrans Prism TermBase Web Administrator
This license provides administrative rights to an individual within your organization to TermBases through MultiTrans Prism TermBase Web. The Administrator will be able to do imports/exports, view history, create and manage fields on line – all without needing a client installed on their local computer. Open up your sever TermBases to the web to facilitate external collaboration. No software is required to be installed on the user's computer – they simply require a web browser.
